Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA)
An EcIA report is a process of identifying, quantifying and evaluating potential effects of development or other proposed actions on habitats, species and ecosystems and can be use to inform planning applications.
EcIA’s demonstrate how a project accords with relevant planning policy and legislation, identifies any ecological features of a site and provides an assessment of whether important ecological features will be impacted.
The report will recommend measures to avoid, reduce and compensate negative ecological impacts and their effects, and provide specific advice for provision of ecological enhancements.
