Preliminary Bat Roost Assessment

A Preliminary Roost Assessment (PRA) is a detailed inspection of the exterior and interior of a structure to look for features that bats could use for entry/exit and roosting, as well as to search for signs of bats presence.

The aim of this survey is to establish the actual or potential presence of bats and determine whether further survey and/or mitigation is necessary.

A PRA can be undertaken at any time of year.
